The Nominating Committee |
The Nominating Committee is appointed by the Board of Directors usually in the fall of each year. Although not mandated by the By-laws, the Board usually tries to rotate members by appointing one new member each year while the remaining members serve up to three years. Check with the Credit Union Manager for the names of current committee members.
If you are interested in serving on the Nominating Committee, you are encouraged to submit a written request to the Board of Directors or Credit Union Management. Committee members are usually confirmed by the Board sometime during the summer each year.

The 2007 - 2008 Nominating Committee |
The 2007-2008 Nominating Committee consists of: This committee will screen all nominees to determine their qualifications, availability and willingness to serve. A nominees report will be submitted to the Board in early February each year. The Annual Meeting is usually held in late February or early March each year. Each year, the committee nominates enough persons to fill the number of terms expiring and/or the number of vacancies on the Board. Should there be more nominees than vacancies, the Committee may either nominate only enough candidates to fill those vacancies, or the Committee may nominate all persons that qualify. If there are more nominees than vacancies, a ballot election will become necessary. |
|
The Nomination or Petition |
The Committee will nominate qualified and willing members of EPB Employees Credit Union to serve terms on the Board of Directors. Any qualified and willing member not nominated by the Committee, may have his or her name placed in nomination by signed petition. A petition form is available from the Credit Union and must be signed by at least two percent of the membership (approximately 50 members). The Committee's report and any member's petition must be submitted to the Credit Union Manager or to the Board at least two weeks prior to the Annual Meeting. |

Board Terms |
Credit Union By-laws require that approximately one-third of the Board be elected each year. As long as the Annual Meetings are held in the first quarter of each year, this schedule will be followed: |
