Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)

Save today for the retirement you want tomorrow.

An Individual Retirement Account (IRA) can help you save for retirement while providing potential tax advantages. EPBECU offers IRA savings and certificate options to help you build your retirement savings in a way that works for you.

IRA Savings

An EPBECU IRA Savings Account gives you the flexibility to make contributions throughout the year while earning dividends on your savings. It's a simple option for members who want to build their retirement savings over time.

For 2026, the combined contribution limit for Traditional and Roth IRAs is $7,500, or $8,600 if you're age 50 or older, subject to IRS eligibility requirements.

IRA Certificates

Looking for a fixed rate on your retirement savings? An EPBECU IRA Certificate allows you to earn a fixed dividend rate for a set term while keeping your funds in an IRA.

IRA certificates may also be an option for members looking to transfer or roll over eligible retirement funds.

A Few Things to Know

IRA contribution limits, tax deductions, withdrawals, and required minimum distributions are governed by IRS rules and can change over time. Traditional IRA withdrawals before age 59½ may be subject to an additional 10% federal tax unless an exception applies.
